when i shared this music with a friend named Sandi, for her,  it immediately evoked a memory
from her past. a true story ,, and to me, an almost mystical experience.  after  you read it, i wonder
if you too will ponder as i did,,,, about this man and his significance and if  Sandi will admit to
hearing...... that day,  a brief whisper of Angel wings.

I was depressed and felt the need to go
to the beach. My friends drove me to
the beach and dropped me off.
It was a gray day,
the sky was gray, the ocean was
gray, my mood was gray.

I walked along the beach for a bit
then I sat down on the almost
deserted beach.  A short time later
a guy came walking along.
He had a sleeping bag
wrapped around him.

He sat down beside me.
We exchanged no words, we both
just watched the sea.
After awhile, I became aware he
had draped the sleeping bag
across our chilled shoulders.
Then he lit a cigarette and we
smoked it, still gazing across the
water, never saying a word.

A bit later, he stood up,
smiled down at me and
silently wandered off
down the beach.

I watched his path for a few
moments,
looked back to the sea,
took a deep breath,
I knew I was OK,
I too, went on my way.

use  the images below ..... practice the calming therapy of ........ '' imagery ''

place your hands on your thighs, take a deep breath, let it out slowly,, slowly...

relax your shoulders... allow your entire body to soften, focus on how that feels...

breath deeply again... let it out slowly, slowly ...

smell the fresh scent of salty air...

feel the breezes brushing across your skin...

imagine .... hear the liquid movement of the ocean ...

go there...move your bare foot  slightly against the soft warm sand

feel the calm, the warmth inside you...

focus on your relaxed body and remember those feelings....

when you need to .... remember them again...
just close your eyes, take a deep breath, let it out slowly and .....  go there.
