a lonely old man will die. 
and i will wonder why.

tomorrow, the world will turn. . .
a home will begin to burn. .
and my heart will no longer yearn.

tomorrow,  a young girl will sin. .
an athlete will win. .
and i will look at where i've been.

tomorrow, the sun will rise. .
someone will say something wise. .
and tears will leave my eyes.

tomorrow, someone will come to sorrow. .
someone will lend or borrow.
and i will say "farewell" ... to tomorrow.
